If you represented Great Britain
in 2008 or took part in the Senior or BYRDS Home Internationals
but were unable to attend our Ball on 24 January you can
have your certificate sent to you.
Cathy has sent out over 400 letters to
those entitled to a certificate and below is a selection
of nice letters from some of those who were unable to attend: |

Dear Ms Wright
Thank you for the invitation for the invitation to the BDSC ball,
unfortunately I will not be able to come this year.
It would be super to receive the certificate as a memento of
an occasion which was pretty special.
You have my details correct: ALISON PAYNE (The Hand Home International).
I had a great year with my Welsh part-bred who not only took
me dressage-ing but also eventing, so it would have been great
to top this off with the ball.
With best wishes for the New Year

Hartpury CPED13*. His spelling is Alex McNamara. |

Dear Cathy
Please find enclosed SAE for certificate for Becky Bone,
the name to be written on the certificate for recognition
to ride for a team during 2008.
I regret that we are unable to have a table this year at
the BDSC ball as we will be away for that time, we all had
a fantastic time last year and I am sure it will be a great
success again. We look forward to 2010’s ball.
Many thanks and look forward to receiving Becky’s certificate.
Yours sincerely

Dear Cathy
Thank you for your letter regarding the BDSC Award Certificates
for 2008. Unfortunately I am unable to attend the ceremony
but have enclosed a SAE so that you can send it to me.
You may notice that the address is different; this is because
I don’t want my puppy to get hold of it and chew
it!
Thank you and BDSC for this award, it was very unexpected.
Yours sincerely

Dear Cathy
Thank you very much for letting us know that Emma and Philippa
have been awarded BDSC certificates. I can confirm that the
competitions are correct and that you have the correct spelling
of their names now which are EMMA, PHILIPPA.
Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the Dinner Dance
on 24 January but I enclose a SAE so that they can receive their
certificates.
Can I thank you for your continued support of the young people
within BD. Emma has won a couple of training grants now at talent
spotting and it does encourage them to work harder at their sport.
Thank you
Yours sincerely

Dear Cathy
Thank you for your letter regarding the BDSC award certificates.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the award ceremony
this year. I have enclosed an SAE as requested so that my
certificate may be forwarded to me. I would like to thank
the BDSC for all their support of BYRDS which has given me
valuable training and competition opportunities over the
past year.
Kind regards

Dear Cathy
What a lovely surprise and honour to receive your letter a few
days ago informing me that I had been awarded a certificate
in recognition of representing the Central Region at the
Home International in October 2008. Unfortunately I am unable
to attend your Annual Dinner on the 24th as I am visiting
my step-daughter who has just had a baby in Kenya!
May I take this opportunity to thank the British Dressage Supporters
Club so very much for this certificate, and I really hope that
I may be able to represent Central Team and England again in
2009!
To confirm my details: I rode at The Hand Home International
in October 2008 as an individual at Advanced Medium riding Magic
Moment.
Again, very many thanks and a happy new year to you.
Yours sincerely

Dear Cathy
Please find enclosed an SAE for Franziska’s certificate.
She is so excited about it. Her name should read Franziska Goess-Saurau.
We will certainly look out for the Supporters Club tent during
the season.
Once again thank you for all of your help. I hope you have a
fantastic evening and hopefully we can make it next year.
Very best wishes

Dear Cathy
Many thanks for your recent letter informing me that I have been
awarded a certificate by the BDSC for representing my region
(Central) at the Sheepgate U25’s National Championships
for which I am absolutely thrilled
Unfortunately your letter has only just arrived, although it
was dated 21 December 2008! Presumably must have got lost in
the build up to Christmas so sadly I was unable to attend the
BDSC Annual dinner in January!
Despite this mishap I would dearly love to receive my certificate
and would be very grateful if you cold forward it in the enclosed
pre-paid envelope.
I hope to be selected to represent BYRDS Central in 2009 so hopefully
will get the chance to attend the BDSC dinner next year with
a bit of luck!
Many thanks

From our Founder Jane Wykeham-Musgrave
Dear Penny
What a wonderful evening. Every year seems just better than the
last. You and your committee members really do excel themselves.
Thank you so much for including me and producing such superb
hospitality – quite apart from a heart-warming welcome.
I really enjoyed the evening.
I hope you were pleased with the result. It was splendid being
given 2 x £1000 Chelsea shirts. The auction must have made
about £4000 over and above the raffle. BRILLIANT!
Considering recession the members seemed to have held up very
well. I really do congratulate you on your incredible effort.
Many thanks again
With all my love from
Jane
PS I enclose a small donation from Barnsley Dressage |

Dear Penny and Committee
Just a quick note to tell you we had a most fabulous evening
at the Ball on Saturday. It was our first year as members
of BDSC and we were made to feel most welcome. The evening
was very entertaining as a participant and spectator with
the games providing a welcome informality to the occasion.
My daughter was thrilled with her certificate and pleased to
join with many of the people she competes against but has never
really met properly.
Please extend my thanks to all the committee for such an enjoyable
evening.
Yours sincerely

Dear Penny
Kate and I would like to say a huge thank you for the invites
to the BDSC ball last week. We had a wonderful time and it was
so lovely to see so many people.
I hope you had a good time and have recovered from organising
such a good evening?!
Hope to see you soon

Dear Penny
Just to say thank you so much for a great evening at the BDSC
ball. We were very proud to see Chloe receive her certificate
and then went on to have a very jolly time indeed!
Please pass my thanks to the committee and well done for all
your hard work!
Best wishes
